IPG waveforms recorded from a patient (SJB-30-M) with disease of tile calf vessels. BFI and DPAT values in this patient are as shown below: Mild decrease in BM at left calf and marked decrease in BE with marginal increase in DPAT at left ankle suggests occlusion in the arteries in the distal portion of the left calf. The arteriogram (VR 3647 dated 17.3.88) in this patient reveals, external iliac, common femoral, superficial and deep femoral and popliteal arteries to be normal. The trifurcation of popliteal artery and proximal portions of anterior and posterior tibial and the common peroneal arteries are normal. Posterior tibial is seen upto distal calf region and not seen at ankle or below ankle region. The anterior tibial and cornnion peronel are not seen below mid calf region. The disease does not appear to be embolic in nature but more like vasculitis. |
